Product Overview
ESBO auxiliary plasticizer enhances heat resistance.
CAS NO:8013-7-8
ESBO is an epoxy-based functional additive derived from natural soybean oil, exhibiting excellent thermal stability, migration resistance, and processing stability. In flexible PVC formulations, ESBO is typically used as a co-plasticizer in synergy with DOP, DOTP, DOA, and other products to improve the material's processing stability, heat resistance, and anti-yellowing properties. ESBO is widely used in PVC films, wires and cables, and plastic products.

Features

Multifunctional composite additives

It has the triple functions of plasticizing, heat resistance, and anti-aging, making the additives more comprehensive.

Excellent thermal stability

It effectively inhibits the thermal decomposition of PVC, reduces yellowing of products, and improves aging resistance.

Helps reduce formulation costs

It can be used in combination with the main plasticizer to optimize formulation costs.

High migration resistance and security

Low migration rate helps improve the long-term stability of the product.

Wide range of compatibility

It is compatible with various mainstream plasticizers and can be added to most PVC systems.

Recommended Solutions

Frequently Asked Questions

ESBO is mainly used as a secondary plasticizer and heat stabilizer because its independent plasticizing capability is limited. When blended with DOTP, DINP, DOA, or other primary plasticizers, ESBO can improve thermal stability, reduce migration, and enhance aging resistance.

ESBO combines safety and thermal stability, making it suitable for PVC formulations used in food packaging. It can improve flexibility, reduce the risk of thermal aging, and help formulations better meet low-migration and low-toxicity requirements when used in compliance with applicable regulations.

ESBO is made from vegetable oil, offers low odor and good environmental performance, and is not a phthalate plasticizer. It is therefore widely used in eco-friendly flexible PVC, food packaging, and children's products where safety and regulatory compliance are essential.
